The Christian education materials are arranged by ministries of the church, and are located on shelves on the west side of the lab and in filing cabinets. Materials for a particular category are arranged topically by call number or alphabetically by publisher. Some samples of historical materials are kept in the alcove to the left of the Christian education shelves.

Larger materials, which do not fit in the regular file drawers or on the shelves, are placed in the oversize file cabinet located next to the Accu-Cut® cutting system. One of the oversize drawers contains materials for teaching about missions.
|
|
Current Sunday School materials are placed on the display shelves at the entrance to the lab. After materials are displayed for a period of time, they are placed in the appropriate file drawers.

Elementary curriculum materials are located on the shelves against the east wall of the room. Teaching Resources are located in he alcove across from the clasroom area of the lab. The books are arranged by Dewey Decimal number according to the following subjects:

Materials for the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages) program are located on shelves in the classroom area on the south end of the lab in the call number 428.24. They are divided into four subject areas: activities, reference, teaching, and text.

Reference books (such as bibliographies, selection tools, dictionaries, etc.) are located in the alcove of the lab. They are arranged according to Dewey Decimal Classification number.

In the alcove across from the classroom area is a collection of teaching resources that includes books on multicultural education, bulletin boards, classroom discipline, special education, games, holidays, crafts, clip art, songs, puppets, plays and storytelling.At the end of this section are located pocket charts, fabric charts, etc. A chart stand is also available for use in the Lab.

Media items are hanging on the large display rack in the alcove area of the lab next to the Historical Materials.
Some manipulatives and oversize items are kept in the metal closet located under the Noah's Ark wall hanging. They are intended primarily for classroom use. For help in obtaining these items see a circulation desk worker. Various learning items containing magnets are on the Magnets Rack.

| Pamphlets |
|
Pamphlets (small supplementary publications) are located in acrylic racks on the shelves near the entrance to the lab. These are divided into three categories: teaching resources, games and juvenile literature.

This file includes articles, teaching guides, lesson plans and brochures on topics such as animals, arts and crafts, disabilities, Native Americans, science, social studies, and teaching. Theses materials are located in a file drawer above the Education Catalogs.

A large collection of catalogs from publishers of educational materials is located in a file cabinet by the Christian Education Files. The catalogs are arranged in the following categories:
