Sermons from Science: A Story of God at Work – New Archives Exhibit
Stop by the Archives to view our new exhibit, which tells the story of the Moody Institute of Science ministry Sermons from Science. Hired by MBI President Will Houghton in 1938 to establish his evangelistic method as an MBI ministry, Dr. Irwin Moon used scientific illustrations in the production of his sermons to reach unbelievers at colleges, at World's Fairs, to men in the military, and even at the Olympics. His film productions, which were translated into over 250 languages, reached across the globe. Remember God of Creation? Or the international award winner, City of the Bees? If so, or even if not, please come to the Crowell library Archives to read about the global reach of Sermons from Science and how many lives were changed for Christ.
The Crowell Library Archives thanks Moody Publishing for transferring these clippings, beakers, filmstrips and reels, photos, awards and videos to the archives last year. We are committed to preserving the materials and to sharing the story of MIS and Sermons from Science to the MBI community, our neighborhood and interested visitors.
